My life has been a challenging one, filled with uncertainty. I lived with my sister and a few other dogs in San Nicholas until circumstances forced our owner to seek help. Luna’s sanctuary was already full, but they did their best to assist us. Unfortunately, after a while, our owner claimed to have found a new home for us, only to abandon me and my sister in a neighborhood where we had no chance of survival.
Fortunately, two dedicated volunteers from Luna discovered us, thin and frightened, seeking shelter next to a deceased dog. They brought us to safety at their sanctuary, where I have begun to heal. Although I’m a healthy girl now, I still carry some emotional scars that make me cautious around new people. It can take me a little while to trust, but when I do, I form loving connections.
I’ve already created a special bond with one of the caregivers at the sanctuary. Our morning greetings and gentle pets have helped me feel safe and loved once again. I know that with patience and kindness, I can build a similar relationship with a forever family.
