Nina
Hey! I am Nina, a sweet and curious but also wary girl looking for a forever home.
For the first couple of months of my life, I managed to survive the streets of Aruba. But everything changed when I was involved in a road traffic accident and broke my hips. Luckily I got rescued by one of Luna’s team members and I got the treatment I desperately needed. I recovered well and am learning to trust people now.
I’m quite wary of new people, but once I accept someone into my circle of trust, I love them wholeheartedly and do everything I can to make them feel special.
With your patience and love, plus some routine I know I can thrive! Please give me a chance to experience life as a precious pet by clicking the button below.

Patat
Hi! I am Patat, a shy and playful boy looking for a forever home.
If you adopt me, it will be just like having a little brother. You’ll have a companion who looks up to you, who’s always ready to play and who keeps you feeling young. Just like most younger siblings, though, I have my mischievous moments and can’t promise not to follow you around or steal your things!
I am still learning not all humans are bad as I have been through a lot. I come from the Hato pack. Where the pack’s story begins, I am not sure, but I do know my mom and dad were dumped on the streets and have since tried to survive. They got at least three litter before they eventually died of starvation. I am one of the pups from their last litter.
Me and my two brothers were lucky to be captured and brought to Luna’s Safe Haven. It took me months before I started to trust humans again. According to my caretakers I have grown so much! I love to follow them around, to meet other doggies and to play with water.
If you’re looking to add to your family, please consider a lovable brother like me. I’do best in a home with other confident (and playful:) dogs as I am still shy. If you can help me grow more confident, get in touch today!

Pearl
Hi! I am Pearl, a super sweet and friendly girl looking for a forever home.
Back in 2022, me and my mom were rescued from the kill cage. That day Luna didn’t only save my life, but the lives of my unborn babies too. It wasn’t long after we were rescued, I gave birth to four pups, who found their forever homes a couple of months later. I had been living at a foster since I gave birth but after all my babies left, it was time for me to move to Luna’s Safe Haven.
I can be shy when I first meet new people, but I am oh so sweet and friendly once I trust you. I love to go for long walks and make furry friends easily.
I have formed a sweet bond with my former foster over time and I can’t wait to do the same with my future family. So please apply below! -Pearl

Pharao
Hey! I am Pharao, an energetic and friendly boy looking for a forever home.
I don’t always find it easy to bark about my story, but I hope by sharing it with you, you’ll be able to see that despite the hardships we experience in life, we still have the chance to be happy.
My story starts when I was just a puppy. Like most street dogs living here on Aruba, I was just trying to mind my own business and survive together with my family but the people living nearby our spot didn’t make it easy for us. They yelled at us and tried to beat us. It was hard to find food and water and it didn’t took long before my mom and dad died of starvation.
I was lucky a spot opened up at the Safe Haven and me and my brother could become a resident. It took me some time to learn I could trust people and I am still shy but I am getting there!
I would love to have other confident doggie siblings and maybe even some human siblings as long as they understand I am still learning to trust. If you think you can help me, please apply today.

Prince
Hi! I am Prince, a lively and affectionate boy looking for a forever home.
I spend the first part of my life on the streets. Everyday I waited eagerly for Luna’s volunteers for, of course food, but mostly just to get their attention. I love to jump into their arms, to sit in their laps and to cuddle. However, I also came to learn not all people are good. One day the threat came that I would be killed, if Luna didn’t take me of the street.
Their might be cruel people on this world, but every single day, I wear a big, cheeky grin and take every opportunity to say hello to my many human friends around the sanctuary. I know the good ones outweighs the bad ones. However, I don’t much like the company of other dogs, but as long as they don’t show any interest in me, I am fine.
Some say I am brave and resilient having survived the streets, but really I just think I am a natural lover boy! I was born to share all of this love and affection with a family of my own, so please apply today if you think I could be the one for you.

Puca
Hey! I am Puca, a confident and handsome boy looking for a forever home.
Quite some time ago now, I arrived at Luna’s Safe Haven after I decided I was ready for a new way of life. I came from the landfill, a common dumping ground for unwanted dogs and puppies like me. Luckily we were fed everyday by volunteers but I wanted something else. So while the volunteers where feeding, I jumped into their car and waited till they came back.
As you can read, I am a very intelligent boy. One day I was even selected to be part of the first team of dogs on Aruba to recognize when someone’s blood sugar spikes. Unfortunately that training was canceled.
Even though my brain could use some more challenge, I am really a happy boy. I get so excited when the volunteers come by my enclosure, and I can run/play with my furry best friend for as long as they’ll let me!
If long walks, sweet cuddles and exciting games are your thing too then I, Puca, might just be the bachelor for you. Please apply below. I’d love to hear from you.

Queeny
Hello! I am Queeny, a gentle senior girl looking for a forever home.
Prior to my arrival at the Safe Haven, I’d lived on the beach for a while after my owners had dumped me there. As you know, the beach is no place for an old girl like me, and I got sick, skinny and weak.
With the help of good food, medicine and supplements, I’m doing much better now, though I still have some of the aches and ailments that come with being a senior dog. The adoptions team can tell you all about it, when you get in touch.
I’m a sweet girl who enjoys meeting people. When there are visitors, I approach them gently and wait politely for them to pet me. I don’t clamour for their attention like the younger dogs do; I’ve learnt that good things come to those who wait.
After a life spend with people who eventually dumped me, living on the beach and in a sanctuary, I’d love to find a loving home in time to enjoy my golden years, so please apply below.

Renzo
Hi! I am Renzo, a fun, affectionate and playful boy looking for a forever home.
I was living in the Palm beach area with my mom when I got hit by a car. One of the local store crew members called Luna for help. My leg was broken and my owner didn’t know how to keep me safe, so he surrendered me into their care. Sadly help came too late for my mom, as she got hit by a car shortly after my accident. She died on the spot.
I’ve been living at a foster ever since I got rescued. My foster mom describes me as an incredibly sweet and super playful pup. I am never in a bad mood and I am good with other dogs.
I’m looking for a home with no young children which is funny really because in many ways I’m like a young child myself – I’m only about 1 year old, I like to play and I’m always trying to stay up past my bedtime! However, my energy and excitement might be too much for other little babies, so that’s why I’m searching for a more adult home. If you can offer this to me, I’ll be forever grateful.

Shirley
Hi! I am Shirley, a unique and characterful girl looking for a forever home.
I arrived at Luna’s Safe Haven as an abandoned mother of two pups. I was weak and scared but tried to be brave. Heartbreakingly, one of my babies had already passed away when I entered the Safe Haven. Luckily the one who survived got adopted not long after my arrival at the Sanctuary by a living family in the US. I hope I can follow in her pawsteps soon.
I have been at the Sanctuary for about a year now and I am still growing more confident each day. I’ve learned to put trust in the people around me who have promised to take care of me. I repay them with sweet kisses.
I hope to find a family that understands what I’ve been through. I promise that once I trust you, I will shower you with love. I am good with other dogs and love to explore and cuddle. Will you give me a chance? Please apply below.

Stella
Hi! I am Stella, a friendly and sweet girl looking for a forever home.
Like so many dogs on Aruba, I once was someone’s pet. Me and my siblings were only a couple of months old when we got dumped at Luna’s Haven. We were terrified pups and it took us some time to get used to human touch but now we all love to cuddle.
Over the years, all of my siblings have found great homes, but for some reason I am still here. I can be a little nervous in new situations, but my natural curiosity and friendly nature get me through in the end. I enjoy playing with my furry friends, spending time with the volunteers and running free at the sanctuary.
Will you give me a chance to live a life full of love?

Suki
Hi! I’m Suki, a sweet and affectionate girl looking for a forever home.
On World Animal Day, my owners tied me to a tree in front of Luna’s Safe Haven. Luckily Luna found me on time, and I got a second chance in life.
I’m an affectionate soul who adores everyone I meet - from playful kids to gentle seniors. During my first day at the sanctuary I even fell asleep on the lap of one of the volunteers and charmed my way into a foster home.
My foster family describes me as an incredibly loving companion. However I’m still getting used to being around other dogs. Luna believes I may have previously been used for breeding, which leaves me a bit catious around other dogs. However with each passing day I’m showing my curiosity and starting to open up to my furry siblings.
I would love to find a forever home in the US (or a comfy air-conditioned spot on the island cause of my long fur). If you think you can offer me this, please apply below! I I’ll be forever grateful. ~Suki

Teishi
Hi! I am Teishi, a beautiful and humorous girl looking for a forever home.
I was brought to the sanctuary after being found abandoned on the streets. With my long hairs and no experience growing up on the streets, the Luna team knew life would always be a struggle for me out there and decided it was best if I stayed at their sanctuary until I found a home.
Given some time and space, I’m social with people and dogs, so if you’ve some dogs in your home already, that could work well. I walk on a lead and would love to explore the world with you-Teishi

Thor
Hi! I am Thor, a playful and sweet boy looking for a forever home.
As you may have noticed, I am not the kind of rescue dog you typically find at Luna’s Safe Haven. Most dogs here are mixed-breed, but I am most certainly a full-breed bulterriër.
I was rescued from the streets as I was attacked by other dogs regularly and the sun was burning my light skin. How I ended up on the streets, I am not sure, but I do know I would love to have a home someday.
I am an energetic, young boy who probably would do well with some training. I love to go for walks and enjoy human attention. I have a lot of interest in other dogs but am not always sure on how to play with them due to my past.
I have little experience of the outside world, and the experience I did have was very difficult, so I will need your patience and love as I adjust to your home and family. In time, though, I know I will be your best companion-love, Thor.

Tori
Hi! I am Tori, a super friendly and lively girl looking for a forever home.
It’s hard to fathom the sheer amount of suffering I’ve faced in my short life. As a young pup, I found myself alone on the streets. I was sick, skinny, wounded and covered in fleas and ticks. I was more dead than alive. I had to spend some time at the vet, where I fully recovered. Not long after, I found my forever home.
But sadly, that wasn’t my happily ever after. Four years later, I was found on the streets again. I was weak from starvation and I had been poisoned. There were no signs from the family who adopted me, it seemed like they had gotten enough of me. Once again I ended up at the vet being more dead than alive. I recovered but not long after I got diagnosed with cancer.
Many dogs would have been beaten down by this ordeal but not me. Every time I arrived at the vet and Luna’s Safe Haven, feeling weak and confused, I found the energy to jump up and play and cuddle with the vets and my carers. I suppose that’s just my character - to my core, I am a bold and brave girl who lives in the present.
Now that I am healthy again, I would love to find a loving family. As part pitbull, I am known for being very active and energetic. I need to exercise regularly (walking, playing, swimming, etc) and my sharp mind thrives on regular human interaction. I am also known for my loyalty and affection. I love to cuddle, relax on the couch and to go for a ride.
Despite my past, I still love people and haven’t lost faith that there’s a perfect family out there willing to give me a second chance. Will you help me experience the love of a family and the safety of a home again?

Tutti
Hey! I am Tutti, a relaxed and friendly girl looking for a forever home.
As a very happy girl, I tend not to dwell on the past, so I don’t know exactly what happened, but one day I found myself tied to the gate of Luna’s Safe Haven with a nasty leg wound. They didn’t have a place at their sanctuary at the time, so I was boarded at the vet for a couple of days. After my leg wound healed nicely and a spot opened up at Luna’s Safe Haven, I discovered a whole new world. I was a bit skinny when I got dumped, but here I got fed daily. I started to grow and made lots of new friends.
I’d love to go for walks with my new family, perhaps to an area where I can go off lead and sniff around, before heading home and sharing some cuddles on the couch. I would love to share my home with other dogs as I am very social and love to play. Even though I never really met children I am certain we would go along very well as I am very gentle and love to get human attention.
If you’re looking for a companion to relax with I might be the dog for you! Please click on the link below to get in contact with Luna, so they can tell you all about me!

Valentina
Hello! I am Valentina, a lively senior girl looking for a forever home.
When I got rescued I was in a sorry state. I had a tumor that needed treatment. It was a really bloody mess and my rescuer was hoping she hadn’t been too late. It turned out the be TVT, a unique type of cancerous tumor that dogs can get from contact with each other. Fortunately, my rescuer had found me on time, and I soon made a full recovery.
I might have been treated poorly by people in the past, it hasn’t left me bitter, afraid and insecure. On the contrary! I am an outgoing and playful lady who loves to cuddle with every stranger she meets.
If you can offer me a loving home to enjoy my golden years in, I’ll be forever grateful!

Hi! I am Yoda, a confident and characterful girl looking for a forever home.
I once had a family but when I gave birth to my seven babies, I got dumped. Luckily I was brought under the attention of the Luna Foundation who took me and my babies under their wing. When my babies were strong and big enough, Luna found them great homes. I am hoping my lucky day will come soon too.
I will need some time to warm up to you but once I do, I am the happiest girl who loves to receive your love in the form of cuddles and treats:) I am good with other dogs, walk nicely on a leash and I am told I am very funny.
Can you find room in your home for a beautiful, bold lowrider like me? I am only small!

Goliath
Hello! I am Goliath, a gentle and happy giant looking for a forever home.
Almost four years ago, I was discovered in the mondi, crying for help. But thanks to Luna, I received the care I needed to heal from a big wound on my face. The vet didn’t think I wouldn’t make it through those tough times, but here I am—stronger and happier than ever!
Every day, I look forward to my little adventures outside my retirement home. With an affectionate nature, I sometimes forget that I’m a senior dog. I can’t help but roll on my back and do a little happy dance when joy fills my heart! But don’t be fooled—there’s nothing I love more than curling up on a cozy bed with the cool breeze of air conditioning gently lulling me to sleep.
I am eagerly searching for a loving family where I can spend my golden years, embracing the love and comfort I truly deserve. If you can picture us sharing unforgettable moments together, don’t wait! Apply today, and let’s start our beautiful journey together.

Hazel
Hi! I am Hazel, a sweet, funny and playful girl looking for a forever home.
I was lucky to be one of the street dogs people take good care off. I had my own best furry friends, got fed daily and when I had health issues my carer made sure I got what I needed to get better. I actually pretty liked my life there. But one day, I got hit by a car. My hip was shattered and I had to spend a couple of weeks at the vet. After I regained my strength, I was brought to Luna’s Safe Haven for my full recovery.
Being out of the street life routine for so long, there was no way, I could go back to my old life. I’m still adjusting to life at the sanctuary, and I’d say I’m doing well. I am very fond of human attention and love to play with other dogs and stuffed toys. I am also a good leash walker!
The other residents of Luna’s Safe Haven have told me all about what it means to have a family of your own, and it sounded so good, I started dreaming of finding my forever home. I am still a bit shy, but very willing. I walk on a leash already and am used to loud and energetic kids as my spot on the streets was the parking lot of a primary school. I hope you’ll make my dream come true-Hazel

Isabel
Hello! I am Isabella, a shy and gentle girl looking for a forever home.
I came to Luna almost three years ago, after they rescued me and my family of the streets. We were scared and a bit stand off-ish, but we soon became one of the best packs at the Haven. We were called the ‘Encanto 5’. A lively and playful pack that loved to run in the running area. We were good with other dogs, went back into our cage without causing any drama and quickly overcame our shyness and strayed to ask for cuddles.
In 2022 the five of us were scheduled for a Freedom Flight but sadly Luna couldn’t find fosters for two of us. Bruno and I had to stay behind, while the other three encanto’s got a second chance in life.
But no worries. This fall, I get another chance at finding my forever family. I am still a bit shy but with the encouraging hand of a person I love, I am certain I’ll overcome any troubles I might encounter in my new world. I find having a fellow dog with me encouraging as well, so if you happen to have another dog in your home already, that’s a bonus for me and could help me with the settling-in process.
Will you make my dream come true?

Hello! I am Isla a sweet and resilient senior girl looking for a forever home.
A couple of years back, I was rescued from the entrance of Palm Island, where I began my journey toward healing. In 2022, I faced a challenging moment when my health took a dip. But guess what? I proved my resilience and bounced back—because I truly missed my friends at the sanctuary!
Today, my heart is strong again, and while I do have epilepsy, I’ve learned to embrace life to the fullest. After a significant seizure, I was welcomed into a cozy foster home, where I’ve savored the magic of home-cooked meals and the comfort of a loving environment.
I do take medication to help me thrive, but it doesn’t hold me back one bit! I’ve made wonderful friends along my journey, and now I’m ready for the next chapter.
What would make my heart even happier? A peaceful, loving home where I can bask in the warmth of companionship during my golden years. If you believe you can provide that special haven for me, please apply below!

Hi! I am Kirishima, a happy and energetic girl looking for a forever home.
Me and my twin sister spent the first part of our lives on the streets and locked in the bathroom of our rescuer. Although it’s no life for any creature, especially for two young energetic pups, we were healthy and safe.
However eventually we ended up at Luna’s Safe Haven and we’re loving our new found freedom.
Even though I grew up in harsh conditions, it doesn’t really seem to have effected me. I am not scared of anything; I love to explore the Haven and meet new furry friends. I also like to go for walkies and really don’t know any strangers.
After a life spent on the streets and in a bathroom I would love to finally have a loving family. A family who loves to explore, cuddle and play and walk… I promise I will love you forever and always -Kirishima

My BFF and I found ourselves struggling to survive on the streets and ended up skinny and weak. On top of that, I could barely walk due to a badly healed injury.
Luckily we were found and brought to Luna’s sanctuary. Because of the time, love and care Luna gave us and the strong bond between Naty and I, we grew a lot stronger. I do have my own special walk and am still a bit shy but I enjoy walkies and secretly really love getting attention.
I’ve been at the sanctuary for a long time now - near enough my whole life. I’d love to finally find someone who loves me just as I am, for all my quirks and in all my beauty. Could that be you?

Hey! I am Luigi, a small and sweet dog looking for a forever home.
A year ago, me and my brother got adopted as puppies by a wonderful couple on the island. But sadly, to no fault of my own, I ended up back at the sanctuary not long ago.
It took me some time to settle into this new way of life but I am getting used to it. I enjoys relaxing or exploring with my furry best friend. I also like to do this with humans but trusting them takes me some time.
It would be wonderful to find a home with experienced humans who understand I need time and guidance to settle into my new world. It would also be great if you already have a calm, confident, female dog I can look up too and learn from. I am confident, with that help, I’ll be a truly good boy. I am also looking for a home with no young children. Please give me the opportunity to start my forever life.

I came to live at Luna’s Safe Haven after Luna got a call about me from a vet. Apparently my owners had gotten enough of me, so they tied me to the tree in front of veterinary practice. Obliviously, the vet couldn’t keep me and since the only other option was euthanasia, Luna took me in.
I’ve been at the sanctuary for about two years now and I am more then ready for the next step.
I don’t much like the company of other dogs, but humans are nearly as awesome as the delicious meals that I receive! I truly don’t know any strangers as I take every opportunity to get a good belly rub!
The comfort of a quiet home would mean the world to me after everything I have been through. I you’re able to offer me such a chance, please apply today.

Hi! I am Mahuma, a confident and friendly girl looking for a forever home.
Some people will see me as just a special dog, but I see myself as a dog with a fancy walk. My difference makes me unique, and I like that.
In 2023, I was hit by a car and left to suffer on the side of the road for three whole days. I didn’t move and I didn’t eat. When the rescuers from Luna took me to the vet, they discovered my brain was permanently damaged and my left front knee wasn’t working as it should no more.
Too be honest, I don’t notice my brain is damaged. It’s just my walk that makes me different from other dogs. But even that doesn’t stop me from running and jumping. I am very fond of human attention and every dog I meet is my friend.
I am a happy girl and I would be even more happy, if you would consider opening your heart and home to me. It would mean the world to me! Just apply below and I’ll be waiting here ready to meet you!

Malibu
Hi! I am Malibu, a shy, sweet and fun girl looking for a forever home.
When I was a new mom, I got dumped at the airport, the place a lot of moms get dumped. Luckily someone reported me to the Luna Foundation. They rescued me and brought me to their sanctuary, where I gave birth to 13 puppies.
Unfortunately, three of them died but the other ten found great forever families. Because I was very insecure, I needed a little more time before I was ready to follow into their pawsteps. I can be nervous in new situations and it still takes me some time to get used to new faces, but once I do I am the sweetest girl. I love to play and explore with my furry friends and to cuddle with my carers.
As well as my pretty looks, people love my slightly shy yet sweet personality. I say ‘slightly’ as I can usually be won over in a couple of days with a treat or two. So get the snacks ready and apply below!

I was once a precious pet, but my owner fell victim to domestic abuse and struggled to care for me. To protect me, she brought me to Luna. I was confused at first, but thanks to my loving carers I soon started to feel more at home.
As I think you can tell from my photos, I am a happy and energetic girl. I am crazy about water; I like to play fetch, to wade in the doggie pools, play in the hose and to mess with my water bowl.
I’d love to find someone as active and affectionate as me who likes to go for walks and swims followed by some cuddle up time on the couch. If that sounds like you, please get in touch by clicking the button below!

Nala
Hi! I am Nala, a sweet and friendly girl looking for a forever home.
Many dogs who enter Luna’s Safe Haven have never known human love. They don’t know if they can trust Luna’s volunteers after years of neglect and abuse. My story is quite different. I did trust them the minute she met them. Why do you ask?
You could say I had a normal life, before I become a homeless pet. I had two rescue sister and an owner who took good care of me. He took us for walks, learned us tricks and gave us love. Until one day, for reasons I will never understand, my owner left me and one of my sisters behind.
Me and my sister weren’t the best of friends, so we were separated at the sanctuary. My sister quickly found a new home and I made new best friends at the sanctuary.
Although I enjoy my time at the sanctuary, I really would love to live at a home again and feel the love of a family. I am super affectionate and love to be all over you. I am playful and smart. I already know the commands ‘sit’ and ‘paw’, and I am certain I can learn many more if you give me the chance. I am also very good at walking on a leash and like to go on little adventures.
Can you offer me a loving home? I’ll be forever grateful.

I was found abandoned in the garden of an empty house together with a chained male dog and my deceased baby. Even though our passed away owner was an abuser, I surprisingly still was a happy and sweet girl.
I was brought to the vet, where I stayed a couple of days until a spot opened up at the Safe Haven. My skin was treated for flees and my fur started to shine again.
I am a good walker and enjoy exploring the sanctuary with my furry friend. It takes a minute sometimes to feel completely comfortable around strangers but once I do I will shower them with love and make sure I make them laugh.
Please consider me, Nancy. My tail is wagging at the thought of finding my forever family!

Hey! I am Nikki, a sweet and shy girl looking for a forever home.
Hundreds of puppies are born every year on the streets of Aruba. They have no one to care for them, and many don’t survive as the challenges are overwhelming. Me and my four siblings were lucky to be found as we were hiding in a cave in a cliff side. We were terrified of humans at first, as we had never known human love. But we’ve formed a strong bond with our carers over the years and two of my sisters even got adopted!
I can be nervous, particularly outside of my enclosure, so it may take some time for me to adjust to a life in a home. But I’m certain with your love and patience, I can thrive. Having doggie siblings would also be great, as they would make me feel safe and can show me the ropes.
Please consider adopting a shy girl. We have so much to offer, we just need some more time to let our true personalities shine.
